A Multilingual, AI-Assisted Pilgrimage
Imagine being able to follow the principal celebrations in your native language, no matter where you're from! That's the vision behind the new multilingual liturgical platform. Developed in collaboration with the Dicastery for Communication and Translated, a leader in AI language solutions, this platform will provide real-time translations accessible via smartphone. No need for special apps or equipment; simply scan a QR code at the entrance or within the Basilica, and you'll have access to audio and text translations.
Unveiling Hidden Treasures
And this is the part most people miss: the Vatican is opening up previously inaccessible areas of the monumental complex! Visitors will now have the opportunity to explore the entire terrace with its unique fan-shaped sections, and the Octagonal Halls, which house precious models and works of art, including those by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger and Michelangelo.
To manage visitor flow and preserve the sacred atmosphere, a new real-time booking system, Smart Pass, will be implemented. Additionally, an expanded digital ecosystem will allow pilgrims to share their prayers and experiences, fostering a sense of community.

In a nod to the artistic legacy of the Basilica, the Vatican will introduce a new institutional font named "Michelangelus." Inspired by the handwriting of the renowned artist Buonarroti, this font was developed by Studio Gusto and will be included in the Microsoft Office package.
